History

In the late 1990’s, a group of local military folks, agriculture pilots, and international Warbird restorers realized there was a wealth of historic aircraft, knowledge and a passion for aviation, education and restoration in our community.  The group developed the mission statement, a long term plan, and opened the museum’s first hangar in 2001.  In 2008, the organization retired the debt on the first building.  Five years later, a second hangar was constructed and named the Beck-Odegaard Wing in honor of Gerry Beck and Bob Odegaard, two late aviation pioneers.

The Fargo Air Museum is a 501(c)-3 non-profit organization and set forth to raise funds through charitable giving contributions. Our sweepstakes, auction, and monthly events are part of this effort.
