Beck-Odegaard Wing Ground Breaking
Fargo Air Museum Breaks Ground for the Beck-Odegaard Wing

Banner - Ground Breaking Ceremony - Beck-Odegaard Wing, Fargo Air Museum

On Saturday August 10th, 2013 the Fargo Air Museum will be breaking ground for its Beck-Odegaard Wing addition. The ceremony will take place at 10 a.m.
Gerry Beck and Robert Odegaard served as founding members of the museum and believed in the dream of a rotating flying museum. Along with other founding members, the vision was to build a series of three buildings to meet the mission “to provide aviation education through restoration and preservation.”

They inspired many people with their talent, knowledge and passion for flight. Both were natives of North Dakota who made their mark in the aviation world for the restoration of vintage aircraft. The new 150-by-100 foot building will display the B-25 Mitchell that Beck donated in the early years with hopes to create an interactive diorama to share the WWII history and stories of the Doolittle Raiders.

CAF AirPower History Tour will be at the Fargo Air Museum to honor the achievements of Beck and Odegaard and to commemorate the ground breaking ceremony. The AirPower History tour will be on display at the museum from August 5th to 11th. For more information visit AirPowerTour.org.
